October 15, 2016 Market Day
Recipe from October 8, 2016: Simple Carrot-Beet Marinara SauceNEWSFLASH: West River Creamery and Vermont Gourmet Candy Dish are back this week!
And, before we go on, don’t forget:
Volunteers ALWAYS welcome and needed!
You can sign up here for one or more spots and tasks throughout the entire season.
As of Thursday afternoon, we need THREE for Setup and THREE for breakdown!!! Our regulars can’t come and Heather and I could really use the help!!!! Also, due to cancellations, we still need one person for each the 9-11 and the 11-1 tables spots, and as always, we could also use someone – or two – to get the highway signs at the end of the day.
Also, you can always stop by and “shadow” another volunteer to learn what it is all about in preparation for next year.
And THANK YOU to Debbie and Sarah for already signing up for this week!
Okay – here is the preview:
- Music by Kali Stoddard-Imari
- Kid’s arts activity by The Playful Pelican
- Tower Beverages, Aaronap Cellars, AND Downeast Cider!
- West River Creamery is BACK!
- Cooking Demo – You’ll have to wait and see.
As always, along with accepting credit and debit cards, we also proudly welcome SNAP/EBT transactions in exchange for “Market Bucks.” Our market continues to match SNAP/EBT purchases up to $10 per visit so all of our neighbors can afford to eat healthy local foods. Just stop by the Market Manager Tent to get your Market Bucks.
