This Saturday, October 8 from 9am to 1pm, the bounty of the fall harvest is upon us at Wakefield Farmers Market. As I write, the weather is predicted to be a beautiful fall day, in the low 60s. We only have 4 markets left in the regular season. Save the date for our special Holiday Outdoor Markets, November 19 and December 10 from 10am to 1pm.

Now, here’s what you’ve been waiting for – the official list of week’s vendors! Produce: All our farms will have plenty of in season produce. Farmer Dave’s will also have fresh mushrooms, from Fat Moon and lots of yummy things from Jane’s Kitchen. It’s corn season at Kelly’s Farm, plus lots of in season squashes, cucumbers and berries. Flats Mentor Farm is back with the best asian produce, zucchini blossoms and the best garlic. Flats is a cash only vendor.
Pasture-raised Meats, Poultry, and Eggs: Lilac Hedge Farm will have all you need for locally raised meats, poultry, and eggs. You will taste the difference with your first bite. Check out their cheese, local honey, and yummy jerky type products. Seafood: Roberto’s Seafood will have plenty of fresh seafood on hand. Captain’s Cut Cod, Haddock, Salmon, shellfish and more. Super fresh and always delicious.
Specialty Foods: Deano's Pasta delicious fresh pasta (cash only vendor), Fork on a Road with meal kits & spices, and Habibi Gourmet Food (Mediterranean fare), the very best authentic Egyptian and Lebanese food. Craic Sauce, what Brian is cooking to spice up your summer menus. Crepe Du Jour will be offering up sweet and savory crepes to keep you fed while you shop. Baked Goods & Sweet Treats: Goodies Homemade (the BEST Cookies). Purple Carrot Bread Co., The Bread Shop, and Roasted Granola, return this year. Secret Stash Sweets will be back selling the best caramels and treats. Sweet Botanical Bakes, delicious Shortbread cookies made with edible flowers. Mahalab Bakery offers a fusion of many traditional savory bakes from the Mediterranean region, with a twist and innovative recipes; Savory Mediterranean baked goods and flatbreads, Labne (Kefir Cheese), hummus, spice mixes.
