October 10 Market Day: Tower Beverage, Coutt’s and Fay Mountain Farms are back this week!

This Saturday, October 10,  the Wakefield Farmer Market, at Hall Park on the shores of Lake Quannapowitt is packed full of socially distant vendors. Only 4 markets left, some of our vendors will only be here this week. The market takes place each Saturday from 9:00-1:00 through October 31, 2020 rain or shine. Looks like it will be another gorgeous fall day.

Thank you all for your continued support and patience, it is appreciated by all of us. Keep wearing those masks and sanitizing, we will get through this together! Farmers Markets are essential.

In addition to this week’s farmers and small batch producers, this Saturday Sarah’s Originals will have Halloween, Fall and Christmas 3 layer fabric masks for children and adults. Plus, infinity scarves, small bags, table runners, sport scarves, pillows, blankets.

Jennifer’s Handmade Soap is here with her amazing fall soaps, gift sets, and more for anyone looking to get an early start on holiday shopping.

Johnnie Johnnie Goods is back with her beautiful collection of handmade accessories, including the most beautiful lightweight leather earring collection.This is Kassie’s last market of the season, don’t miss it!

Marielas Mexico joins us with handwoven purses and totes. 

Sasquatch Woodworks returns this week – and they have built up a great stock of new wine caddies, serving boards, cutting trays and bowls. Stop by to check out their newest pieces because  it’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays or to get a present for that Zoom wedding you need to virtually attend! 

Trow’s Treasures is back with her incredible medicinal salves, herbal pillows, catnip toys and more.

Farmer Dave’s – Squashes, root veggies, greens and more.  Pre-order and get exactly what you want!

Fay Mountain Farm – Corn, pumpkins and squashes galore

Flats Mentor Farm – Delicious Asian Greens such as baby bok choy, water spinach, pea tendrils and more. Try the stir fry mix of veggies!   Flats Mentor Farm is a cash only vendor with great prices!

Kelly’s Farm – Peppers, corn, greens, squashes, and beautiful flower bouquets.

Lilac Hedge Farm – pasture raised meats and free range eggs.

Neighbor’s Acre Farms will have lots of nutrient rich microgreens. Mushrooms are back this week! Micro greens are freshly harvested as you wait. Pre-order to get the best selection. 

Roberto’s Seafood – The best seafood around is right here in Wakefield.  Call or email ahead to guarantee what you’d like. 

West River Creamery –  fresh cheese from Vermont.

The Bread Shop – a small-town, big taste artisan bread bakery. By using fresh ingredients and pouring skill and passion into each product.

The Roasted Granola –  Each batch of our granola is made by hand and checked for quality. It is not too sweet, contains healthy nuts and seeds, has a touch of quinoa and is made with Greek olive oil.

Small Batch Beverage Vendors: 

Aaronap Cellars will be debuting our flagship wine Petite Sirah “Alliage” at this Saturday’s market. Tower Beverage: are back with all their great flavors. The best root beer around. Stock up for winter!

Emmett’s Edibles Gourmet Dog Treats their handmade dog treats are a market favorite by many 4 legged guests. October pumpkin season! Try some Pumpkin Bon Bons!

COVID-19 Procedures:

Per the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and our Board of Health, to keep our customers, vendors and volunteers safe we have a few new rules we ask everyone to follow:

  • Mask or face covering MUST be worn at all times within the market.
  • Enter at the back of the parking lot near the boat launch (ENTRANCE sign posted)
  • Wait until a volunteer admits you, Do not jump the ropes, we have a maximum number allowed
  • Follow signage (foot traffic is one way)
  • If possible, send one person to limit crowds
  • Social Distance at all times – 6ft all around
  • Purses and reusable bags CAN NOT be placed on any surfaces
  • Do not touch products, ask a vendor for assistance
  • Exit is near the Entrance (sanitizing stations available)
  • Keep it moving to allow for the next group pickup. 

Payment Methods

  • Pre-pay when pre-ordering if possible, SNAP customers follow the vendors instructions and pay at market
  • Unfortunately, we will not be offering the Market Bucks Program this season due to COVID-19.  
  • Everyone deserves high quality healthy food! We accept SNAP/EBT, Pandemic EBT, visit our market tent for SNAP Bucks
  • WIC and Senior Coupons can only be used for produce and some select items from Farmer Dave.
